We are looking for a Pediatric Resident Medical Officer

Responsabilities
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date treatment records in patients’ notes.
• Ensuring Consultants are kept informed of their patients condition and any changes or additional treatment to be given.
• Responding immediately to any paediatric emergencies.
• To administer intravenous fluids and medication, to include cytotoxic agents.
• Where the phlebotomist is not available or encounters difficulty to take blood.
• To attend delivery room and obstetric theatre as required.
• To examine and assess neonates as required.
• To ensure the Public Health Office is made aware of any incidence of notifiable contagious diseases.
• To provide information to H.M. Coroner as required.
• In emergency situations – the RMO accepts that he/she will also perform duties and the occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant, in consultation, where practicable with colleagues.
• To attend the pharmacy for out of hours emergency drugs.

Requirements
• Full registration i.e. the General Medical Council to practice in the UK.
• MRC Paeds, MRCS or internationally recognized equivalent.
• PLAB certificate for all overseas (outside the EU) candidates.
• PALS or equivalent.
• NICU / SCBU experience with appropriate practical and technical skills in clinical and emergency paediatrics. Neonatal Life Support Training.

Salary - £40,000 p/a - 28 weeks per year

UK Experience - Preferable U.K Pediatric experience
